Ways to Give
Until recently, placing an offering in the collection plate on Sunday mornings was the traditional way to support the mission and ministry of French River Lutheran Church. In today’s world, we are now able to utilize technology to offer new secure and convenient alternatives to support our Ministry. Here are some options to consider:
Online Giving
Make one-time or recurring donations from your bank, credit or debit card through our secure online giving site.
Mobile Giving
Download the GivePlus app from the Apple Store or Google Play to donate to FRLC from your smartphone, using the same options as Online Giving.
Automatic Bill Pay
Set up recurring transfers or payments from your bank or credit card to make ongoing donations.
Shares of Stock
Donating shares of stock to FRLC as a “transfer in kind” avoids paying capital gains tax, and allows you to deduct the fair-market value of the stock on your income tax return as a charitable donation (subject to IRS limits).
IRA Distributions
If you are age 70½ or older, you may make a contribution directly from your traditional IRA to FRLC, tax-free. You can donate up to $100,000, but must follow the IRS’s rules for qualified charitable distributions (QCDs), also called charitable IRA rollovers. This will also count toward meeting your required minimum distribution.
Legacy gifts
Set up a planned future gift by designating a gift to FRLC in your will.

Our Ministries
Our giving supports the worship, music, education, outreach and programs at French River Lutheran. In addition, our God-given gifts provide food, clothing, shelter, hygiene items, medical care, clean water, and electricity for others in our community and in other areas of the world.
